Surfing is much more than the act of riding waves. At Momentum our goal is to develop a complete water person. Emphasis is placed on putting surfing into a larger context that is both safe and fun. In addition to surfing, students will be instructed in body surfing, ocean swimming, skim boarding, yoga, surf history and etiquette as well as marine biology and basic oceanography. Our holistic approach to teaching surfing makes Momentum a great place for beginners looking for their first rides as well as for intermediate surfers wishing to sharpen their technique and wave knowledge. Small class sizes and the varied curriculum allows for both individual attention as well as the freedom to spontaneously capitalize on any ocean condition.
