At longboardlessons there is only one instructor; Jack Ellis. Jack has been surfing for over 40 years; entering surf contests since 1965 and his most recent garnered a 2nd place at Steamer Lane in Santa cruz in April 2004.
Jack has been surfing on the Dave Sweet Surf Team since 1965 and continues to ride boards built by the inventor of the foam board.
Every lesson is tailored to each students skill level and needs.
Along with ocean safety and proper surfing techniques you will also learn surfing ettiquite, ocean entry and exit, ocean awareness and many valuable tips on surfing .
Longboards and wetsuits are included in the lessons, but if you have your own gear that is fine.
Surfers come to Jack to improve their skills no matter what level of surfing they are at or wish to achieve. Longboards are stable and are the best for learning.
